Mobile No1, the iPhone, sorry, but I can not remove myself from it or the appstore, they are in-built into my DNA. Mobile No2, the Nokia N82, for the imaging and xenon flash-to-die-for capability. Mobile No3, the E72, for its business, battery, Oxford Dictionary and Gravity efficiency and keeping me up-to-date with all fingers in the social and symbian-pie. [Yes, I am aware the iPhone does all that, but the iPhone battery still has plenty to learn and I have needs and goals that only a Nokia E72 can fulfill.

I can see a resolution here Nokia? I remain unconvinced by your n-series and touch capability – be it either resistive or capacitive, but I am loving your E-series. The build, and craftmanship are far superior to your previous handsets that I have owned, barring a little light leakage here and there. (With the exception of the 8800 series which were built to last and which I can not fault). Make my next move the E-series s^4 with proven xenon image capture to match my Nokia N82 and then and only then, you will be able finally to prise it from within my grasp. In less than a year I want to be a two-phoner with the iPhone4 and Nokia E-series xenon s^4. Nokia, is this a goal you can achieve?

Everyone these days is going 'green' and mobile phone manufacturers aren't too far behind either. Sony Ericsson has come up with an entirely new series of eco-friendly phones called 'Greet Heart' and the first phone that is part of this series is the Sony Ericsson Naite.

Sony Ericsson Naite is a simple handset with a candy bar design. The focus was to make the phone environment friendly and hence it is made from recyclable materials. Even the packaging that the phone comes in is very minimalistic, with a small box packing the bare minimum, such as a special low-power charger, headset and user guide. The phone does not even come with a USB data cable, which is taking the whole minimalism thing a bit too far.

The phone has a very simple and boring design. Usually Sony Ericsson phones are attractive and well designed but the Naite failed to meet our expectations. Another thing is that the phone felt a bit cheap and light, which really reduces the chances of anyone wanting to buy this phone based on just the way it looks and feels.

The display on the phone is 2.2", 262k, 240 x 320 pixel TFT. The display quality is very good with excellent color and brightness and it also performs splendidly outdoors under the sun. We wished it was a bit larger though.

Above the display is a video call camera. The Sony Ericsson Naite is a 3G compatible device, which means you can make video calls from it - if you manage find someone else in India who also has a 3G connection on their phone.

The keypad on the phone seems like it was designed with just a ruler, with lines so straight it could make a chessboard seem crooked in comparison. But what might not appeal to you aesthetically, may impress you while typing on the phone, as the square keys on the Naite are very easy to type on.

FEATURES

The Naite runs on Sony Ericsson's A200 platform. The OS hasn't changed in quite some time now and chances are if you have used a Sony Ericsson phones in the past one year you already know what the Naite interface looks like. It's simple, straightforward and easy to use, and frankly speaking, we don't really expect much from a phone in this price range anyway. One good thing is that although the OS doesn't allow multitasking beyond running the music player and FM radio in the background, it does let you run multiple Java applications simultaneously, which is pretty convenient.

The Naite came with a few games and applications built-in. Like almost every other manufacturer out there, Sony Ericsson also has a Facebook application on their phone which is now joined by a new Twitter app as well. Just like the Facebook app, the Twitter app can also run in the background and you can see your friend's updates on the home screen. Unfortunately, that's the best it can do and apart from that it is pretty lackluster. I would still prefer to use dabr.co.uk from the web browser instead.

The web browser on the phone is the same old Access NetFront. It is pretty decent and performs well, but don't expect full-fledged PC-like experience here. You can multiple download files and it can even format pages to fit the screen but that's about what it can do.

The media player on the Naite is the Walkman player, which you can now see on almost all phones. Once again it features a good interface design, which is attractive as well as user friendly, and has most of the features that you would want, including a manual equalizer and multiple presets, and Mega Bass. Audio quality with the provided headset was pretty sad, but when we swapped them with our own headphones through an adaptor the quality improved dramatically, although the max volume could have been a bit higher. The phone does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a common bugbear with Sony Ericsson phones. The loudspeaker on the phone was quite loud but the quality wasn't great, and it sounded a bit tinny.

Remove Blogger Nav bar Completely

Blogger has got a default Navigation Bar. This navigation bar is hidden in most of the third party templates. Instead of hiding the nav bar using CSS, we can completely remove it.
To do that
1. Login to your Blogger account and navigate to Layout > Edit HTML
2. In the Template Code find and just above that add the following Code.

3. Now Save the Template and you will see a confirmation about deleting the Navbar Widget. Confirm the Deletion by Clicking on the Delete Widgets Button

Advantages of this Method

You will be completely removing the nav bar and not hiding it. The nav bar iframe codes wont be present in your blog’s HTML source and so the blog would be more Search Engine Friendly.

Disadvantages of this Method

You will no longer see the Quick Edit pencil or wrench links on your blog even if you are logged in. This is not a a big deal. You can Edit the Widgets from the Layout > Page Elements Page. It would also be a good idea to completely remove the Quick Edit and Wrench Links from Blogger

How to Get back the Nav Bar?

If you followed this method to remove the nav bar and now want to get it back, then delete the extra code that you added. i.e remove the code from step 2, that you added into your template and Save the Template.

Nokia 7230 - Specifications and Price in India

It’s been a long time coming- Nokia’s answer to the social-networking touchscreen phone for the youth, the Samsung Corby. And Nokia calls their proportionate response the 7230. Both the Corby and the 7230 phones are miles apart but cost the same. While the Corby is a touchscreen phone, the 7230 has 3G connectivity. This Nokia phone also has the unfair advantage of the stable and reliable S40 UI. So, the choice is hard but if users have their preferences right, they can decide which phone to purchase. But the 7230, by itself is a great phone that fits the price.

Design and Looks
The Nokia 7230 is a fun looking thing. It’s good to know that the company’s latest phones feature style updates as some of their previous phones suffered from serious wardrobe malfunctions. It seems like Nokia is taking the Samsung Corby path by offering the 7230 in every colour available. Anyway, the 7230, and the new 2220 Slide, remind us of the Nokia E75 which had a glossy finger-print prone front. It also has similar steel accents at the side like the business slider.
The phone’s front sports a relatively large 2.4-inch TFT screen that produces 256K over QVGA resolution. We would have like a larger resolution as the current one seems overstretched. The obvious result is that the screen looks grainy. Thankfully, in the tradition of Nokia screens, this one has good viewing angles and great sunlight legibility. An interesting feature of this display is that it employs soft-lighting to indicate missed events like calls, text messages and emails.

The 7230’s front fascia is almost flat except for the nav-pad. It is nice and thin and features a large confirming centre in the middle. It is surrounded by the soft keys and the call end keys which too are flat but offer sufficient feedback for use. The top and bottom of the front is contoured. Sliding the phone up reveals the alphanumeric keypad. Once again, it is similar to the construction of the chrome QWERTY on the E75 which is a nice touch. The keys are separated row- and column-wise and are soft to press. There is sufficient head and leg room at the top and bottom of the keypad and as an added extra the keys are big. This keypad is definitely text worthy.

Like all mid-range Nokia phones, the 7230 sports the tried and tested S40 user interface. Over the years, this popular interface has come to inherit many useful apps and the entire set up is now virtually bug-free. The recent edition of S40 also features social networking integration including integration with popular sites such as Facebook, flickr, twitter and YouTube integration. Some new apps that have made their way into Nokia phones is Ovi Store, Ovi Connect, Widsets, Nokia Maps and Nokia Life Tools.

The phone’s 3.2MP camera is good. It features the same interface that’s common to all S40 phones and has only a few photo editing options. These include white balance, capture and colour modes. Users can also use the photo editor app to apply basic touchups to their photos. Videos are also admirable as they are recorded in QCIF resolution at 15 frames-per-second. In this phone, it is possible to upload photos and videos directly to YouTube or Facebook. In fact, despite the lack of better camera hardware, the phone is projected as a camera feature phone designed to take photos to augment its social networking integration- the dedicated camera key will attest to that.

This phone may be seen as an alternative to the Corby although they are entirely different phones they are vying for the same market. The Corby impresses us with its touchscreen functionality but the 7230 features a better camera, 3G connectivity, Ovi integration and the tried and trusted Nokia Series 40 user interface. It’s going to be a tough call deciding between the two phones.

Nokia 6700 slide review: Braving the odds

A stylish and durable steel body, compact size and smartphone skill, the Nokia 6700 slide looks strong enough to hold its own in a modern world. Touchscreen, Android and whatnot have forced a sea change and many fear Symbian to have lost some of its mojo. It still has its strongholds of course – it seems the Eseries and Nseries will never fall out of users’ favor. But where does that leave an affordable midrange smartphone like the 6700 slide?Affordable may as well be the key word here. We’re looking at an easy-going, eye-catching phone that wants to have mass appeal. It’s got some big shoes to fill too – its bar-shaped sibling was one of the best appreciated Nokia handsets last year. Adding smart to what was a pretty cool phone already seems like the next logical move. But let’s see if the 6700 slide is the right package for the right market.

The Nokia 6700 slide brings enough updates to justify its existence – smartphone skill, an audio jack and video-calling are there to address some of the main grudges we had with the 6700 classic. Gaps in the spec sheet are prominent enough though. GPS is perhaps irrelevant to the intended users but Wi-Fi will certainly be missed
Unfortunately, somewhere along the way of translating the 6700 classic to a slider form factor something must have gone wrong with the design language. Perhaps the only way to properly say that is we would have liked it better if the 6700 slide looked more like the 6600i slide and less like Wall-E. But whatever, design has always been a subjective thing so we’ll leave the biting comments aside for now.
Instead we’ll focus on the Nokia 6700 slide ergonomics right after the break.

HX4 and the Samsung i8910 HD mobile

you’ll have been following my adventures keeping the Samsung i8910 HD on the crest of an unofficial hardware wave by installing each of the ‘HX’ firmwares? Just over a week ago saw the release of what is by far the most adventurous HX release yet. I try to summarise (and comment on) the changelog below, for any other owners of what (for the next couple of months, at least) is still the most powerful Symbian phone in the world bar none.
As in my previous articles, I need to warn you that playing with ‘modified’ firmwares is both legally ‘grey’ and also fraught with dan ger. You’ll lose everything at each update and will have to restore user data from back up and then reinstall all apps, tweak all settings, and so on. Every time. I ran into serious problems (missing screen elements, etc) by restoring back my ’settings’, in the hope of saving myself 15 minutes set-up time! However, for the determined fiddler, for whom this is as much a hobby as anything else, it’s all worth it in the end.

Remember that the i8910 HD comes with 3.7″ OLED screen, 256MB of RAM (see the screenshot below), 600MHz processor, full graphics acceleration, loud stereo speakers, 8mp still photos and HD video capture. So if a little work can produce a stable, fully-kitted out smartphone environment on that hardware then I reckon it’s worth it for anyone tech-savvy enough to ‘make it so’…

New ‘S60′ startup-sound/animation
A Goodies folder on E:\ with useful apps that you may want to install yourself, including Accuweather, Animation Plus, Nokia’s Java 2.1_18 beta, the Skyfire browser, Nokia’s Ovi Store client* and Labyrinth* (a maze game, from Sony Ericsson Satio).
The changes above are on top of the existing highlights of the HX3 series of firmwares, the highlight of which is probably the re-enabling of pre-focus in full HD video capture mode.
There is one big bug in this firmware, as supplied, mind you: Java is broken again. Even with the 2.1 beta runtime in place, the right xml file isn’t present in the English language firmware and all Java app installs fail. Andy (a.k.a. HyperX) has provided a quick fix workaround though, download this archive and extract it to c:\private\10203636\security\midp2_trp.xml (if you don’t know how to do this then you really shouldn’t be fiddling with i8910 firmwares in the first place! – but for the record, I went through Bluetoothing the file over and then using the supplied File Browser to move it from the Inbox/attachments). Then enable the auto-starting of C2Z in the supplied Rompatcher application and restart the phone.
Even with the above workaround, installing Java applications seems a little hit and miss – I’ve had to restart the i8910 HD several times. And the C2Z patch, which seems to be needed just to run the apps, also introduces a few event handling quirks of its own. 8-( All of which illustrates nicely the situation with ‘modding’ – you’re not only on the cutting edge of technology, you’re actually bleeding and hanging on by your fingertips. Smartphones are complex devices running complex operating systems and once you start playing mix and match with components then you realise why it takes manufacturers a while to fully test and approve each new point release internally!
As we’ve mentioned before, we don’t normally highlight the ‘modding’ scene on Symbian-powered phones, usually because the manufacturers themselves do an adequate job of updating firmware regularly (with a few product code exceptions, I know, I know….) But in this case, the HX4 update offers such a huge bump in functionality beyond what a ‘bare’ i8910 HD owner might have, that it’s worth the risk of both confusing you, the reader, and the various manufacturers whose work has been (ahem) adapted!

As the name says “Universal Viewer“, You can open almost any file type on Windows. It may happen that you don’t have the particular software installed to open a specific file so, in such case- Universal Viewer can help you preview that file easily. From Music to documents and pictures to videos, Open any type of file with Universal Viewer.
Most of the filetypes are supported natively and it integrates with the Windows Shell giving the possibility to open all supported files from the context menu of the operating system. If the program doesn’t offer native suppport to open certain file extension then the official site has plugin lists page with which it’s possible to open some more file types like WiseTracker, PE Viewer,etc.

I am really amazed with the capability of this software which is available in portable version too. While testing, it was able to open most common file types used like HTML, PDF, XML, MP3, MPG, AVI, JPG, GIF and BMP. The problem I faced is with MS Office documents means you cannot open Office documents if Microsoft office is not installed. The program returns an error saying “Cannot initialize MS office control” instead offered an option to convert office documents into text.

Memory cards are used in just about every device today; from mobile phones to digital cameras, photo printers to gaming consoles. But to read and write data to the memory card, the computer is the best place to start and for a computer to be able to do that, it requires a memory card reader. Unlike most laptops, computers generally do not come with facility to read/write memory cards, and a memory card reader becomes indispensable in that case. The Kingston MobileLiteG2 is arguably one of the smallest memory card readers and it comes with a 4 GB SD HC card.

As is usual with most memory cards and USB Flash drives, this memory card reader comes packed in a transparent plastic blister pack where the contents can be easily seen.

The memory card reader comes bundled with a short USB extension cable to facilitate using it with a USB port in congested places. It also comes with a lanyard cable fastened to it. A Kingston 4 GB SD HC memory card is also part of the standard accessories with this product, allowing you to start using it out of the box.

The Kingston MobileLiteG2 reader is probably the smallest memory card reader around, and is barely larger than the SD HC memory card that comes with it. The black and silver polymer body is quite ruggedly built.

The reader has retractable covers for the USB port as well as for the memory cards. The cover for the USB port protects the USB port when it is not being used. The cover for the memory card shields it when it is inserted in the reader, thus preventing accidental damage. The retractable covers have a nice honeycomb pattern on it.

The card reader can read up to 9 types of memory card formats. The different media card formats supported include: SD, SDHC, microSD, microSDHC, Memory Stick Micro (M2), Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo. You can also read miniSD/SDHC cards but by using an adapter. This covers pretty much every popular format in use today, except CF, which is usually limited to professional SLR cameras. If you may be wondering as to how the device can read 9 types of cards when there are only two visible card slots, a closer inspection will disclose the secret. A single card slot can read multiple types of cards, thanks to an ingenious arrangement of internal leads.

It plugs directly into a free USB port and since it is Plug'n Play, you can directly start using it without need for any drivers. If the adjacent USB ports are occupied and it is not possible to insert this due to its thickness, you can use the provided USB extension cable.

There is a blue activity LED on the MobileLiteG2, which glows during data transfer activity or even if a memory card is inserted. Without any memory card inserted, the reader does not show up in the Windows Explorer. You can read two different memory cards inserted in the two slots simultaneously, thus allowing you to transfer contents from one card to another. USB 2.0 speed is supported, but it is also compatible with the older USB 1.1 standards.

After starting, we were pleasantly surprised to see that Parallels has installed all the drivers for your Windows installation. Even things like the multi-touch trackpad worked perfectly on our MacBook Pro, with all the gestures like two finger scrolling and pinch to zoom working just like they would on the Mac. Even the Apple Remote works fine.

Install:
- Download and extract using WinRAR.
- Use NERO to burn the ISO image called "faXcooL.Windows.7.Ultimate.ENG.x86-x64.ACTiVATED"
- Burning speed should not be faster than 4x. Otherwise, it might not work.
- Restart your computer.
- Make sure you've seleceted your DVD-ROM/RW drive as a first boot device

* Enter the BIOS pressing the DEL button, set the option, insert your Windows 7 installation and restart computer.
- The black screen will appear (image 01).
- Press any key to boot from CD or DVD.... (by pressing the key you're entering the setup)
- Select your language, time and currency and keyboard input (optionaly)
- Click install now
- Choose your edition (x86 is 32-bit, x64 is 64-bit) depending of CPU type you have.

*Choose x64 if you have 64-bit processor.
- Click "I accept".
- Click "Custom (advanced).
- Choose your partition/hdd drive where Win7 should be installed and click format.

*You might get some error if you have two or more hard disks with different connectors (ATA and SATA).
If you get an error, turn off one of your hard disks and repeat the whole proces.
- After formatting, setup will continue automaticly and it will finish after 15-30 min.
- Next step would be username (Image 17).
- Type your password (if you want).
- When you get the screen for CD-KEY just ignore it leaving blank.

*Uncheck the box for automaticly activation and click next.
- Choose the third option for next step.
- Select your time zone.
- Select your current location (Home is recommended).
- The black CMD windows will appear. Wait a few seconds until computers restares once again.
- And that would be all about installation. You're in Windows now.

Activation:
It's not required, because it's OEM. Windows will be premanently activated.
However, it's well known that there is some problems with DELL and HP machines.

Important notes:

1- Remember When Windows is finalizing Its Installation There Will Be A Black Screen Appear (cmd) Prompt It will Stay Blinking for about 2 to 10 mins Depending on the system you are using Then It Will say ***-***-***-***-**** Key Installed Successfully Then It Will restart Automatically. Then U can go to My computer`s Properties U Will SeeWindows Is Activated.

2- DELL and HP machines, Use an Activator or the crack supplied if anything. 80% the activators will work meanwhile the other 20% depends on how old your Laptop/Computer, If you did an Upgrade you'll have to use an Activator regardless because this Version was made for a freshinstallation.

3- If you do not want to be forced to use an activator I'd do a Custom install but you don't really have to format your driver due to the fact thatWindows 7 will just overwrite your current windows and put the old windows in a folder called "Windows.old" where your previous windows installion files are kept. And it's optional if you choose to deleted the olf folder because the drivers are "surpisingly" there afterinstallation . Make sure you are connected to the internet before and after the installion (meaning that when your ready to set up your connection.Go for the freshInstallation if you dont really have important programs you can easily re-install at a later time.

4-Burn the ISO image at the lowest speed possible and Also your burning app. must verify the burn (the ISO)......
