Mozilla Firefox Fennec Mobile Web Browser Features, Download, Preview, Beta Version

Mozilla is all set to release its Firefox Web browser Fennec for Mobile Phones.

It will compete with existing rivals which includes Opera Mini, which has the largest market share at present with 26%, Safari, Chrome, Nokia, Netfront and Internet Explorer for mobile phones.

The browser is codenamed Fennec, will initially be available for Nokia's N900 phone, followed by other handsets in 2010.

It is currently going through final testing and could be released before the end of the year, said Jay Sullivan at Mozilla, the group behind Firefox.

Firefox Fennec web browser for mobile is expected to be available for most open environments like Android, Nokia's Maemo, Symbian and Microsoft's Windows Mobile. However it is unlikely to be available for iPhone.

Also Firefox Fennec will become the first web browser for mobiles to have add-ons. With already being the dominator in web browsers, mobile is not anything different for Firefox.

Simply go to mozilla.com/m with your current mobile browser and download Firefox directly to your phone.

Firefox Mobile (Fennec) supports localizations, currently including Spanish, German, French, Italian, Dutch, and Russian.

In the productivity front, Firefox Mobile offers offline browsing, download manager, preferences pane and a spell checker.
